Whether it’s a rainy day, or still too chilly to play outside, your kids need to burn off energy during the day. Instead of spending extra money on an indoor gym or activity, you can find some fun right in your own home!
Here are a few fun ideas for keeping your little ones busy and entertained!
Cardboard Building: find a few old boxes and transform them into houses, rockets or pirate ships! After the structures have been built, spend time decorating them. Get creative, grab your puff balls, paints, markers, and scissors!
Bath Paints: let your child channel their inner Monet and start painting. Grab some washable finger paints, and hop inside the bath and let them go crazy! When they’re done, clean-up is a breeze. Just fill up the tub with soap and water and wash everything down.
An Indoor Scavenger Hunt: this is a great way to have your children run around and use their minds. Create some riddles and bury some treasure for them to find. They will love the mix of creativity and activity! For some inspiration, check out Melissa & Doug’s ideas.
Make Homemade “Slime” or Play Dough: What’s more fun than playing with slime? Not only will your kids love making the ooey-gooey stuff, but they will love playing with it, too! Try Slime recipes here or Play Dough recipes here.
